ZêzereArts Festival Choir 2018

Core Programme

1st rehearsal: Saturday, July 14th, 10am

Last Choral Performance*: Saturday, July 21st, 9.30pm

Core Programme participants in the 2018 ZêzereArts Festival Choir will be experienced choral singers looking for a full schedule of rehearsals and concerts. In preparing for the world premiere of Portuguese composer David Miguel's new work for the Festival, singers will have the opportunity to work alongside the 2018 ZêzereArts Festival Composer in Residence. Daily rehearsals will focus on choral singing technique and the interpretation of repertoire that will be performed at venues in the Médio-Tejo region of Portugal. Core programme singers will be joined by Weekend Works participants for the final performance, which will take place in the cloisters of the 12th century monastery, the Convento do Cristo, on July 21st.

Singers opting for the Core Programme may also apply for Singing Lessons, Solo Song Coaching and/or Chamber Music.

*The last choral performance is programmed for Saturday, July 21st. However, an optional day trip is provisionally scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 22nd for singers interested in exploring more of the Médio-Tejo region.

Residential Fees: €425 per participant (€400 early bird rate)

Non-residential Fees: €325 per participant (€300 early bird rate)
