Weekend Works Programme

First Rehearsal: Thursday, July 19th, 10am

Last Performance: Saturday, July 21st, 9.30pm*

Weekend Works participants in the 2018 ZêzereArts Festival choir will be experienced choral singers looking for a more compact schedule of rehearsals. Rehearsals will focus on choral singing technique, working towards the interpretation of repertoire that will be performed in the cloisters of the 12th century monastery, the Convento do Cristo, on July 21st. Participants will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops with composer David Miguel, the 2018 ZêzereArts Composer in Residence, in preparing for the premiere of a new work commissioned specifically for the Festival.

* The last choral performance is scheduled for Saturday, July 21st. However, an optional day trip is provisionally planned for Sunday July 22nd, for singers interested in exploring more of the Médio-Tejo region.
